The Election Commission has announced the dates of the West Bengal Assembly elections. The state will go to polls in eight phases from March 27. The first phase will go to polls on 38 seats on March 27 and on April 1, voting will be held in 30 seats in the second phase. Apart from these, voting will be held in 31 seats in the third phase on April 6, 44 seats in the fourth phase on April 10, and 45 seats in the fifth phase on April 17
