Internal political strife seems to have gripped the Congress party yet again. The removal of Captain Amarinder Singh as Chief Minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s resignation as President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress, Appointing a Dalit Sikh as the new CM, and inducting CPI(M) leader into the Congress are all major events that national politics witnessed over the past few day ahead of next year’s Assembly polls.

After resigning as the stte unit’s president, Navjot Singh Sidhu released a video statement on Wednesday, wherein he criticized that the cabinet of CM Charanjit Singh Channi had inducted tainted leaders and brought up other controversial appointments. He claimed that his only “dharm” (religion) was to make lives better for the people of Punjab.
