AMU's Dr Azeem Malik, the doctor who questioned the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) report in the Hathras gang-rape victim, has been dismissed. Along with Malik, Dr. Obaid Haque has also been dismissed by the hospital for attesting the woman’s medico-legal case report. Dr. Malik said that the sample for FSL was taken 11 days after the rapes whereas according to the guidelines, the rape can be confirmed only if the sample is taken within 96 hours of the rape
