Akhilesh Yadav is LIVE From Muzzafarnagar, UP at Kashyap Sammelan being organized by his party, Samajwadi Party (SP)/ Akhilesh is rallying voters ahead of the 2022 UP Assembly elections by targeting the BJP for a nationwide price rise and the Yogi government for what Yadav says are its failures in Uttar Pradesh over the past four and a half years. He is also playing strongly on uniting the 'backwards' communities under his banner and frequently mentions social justice and welfarism in his speeches. 

Akhilesh Yadav said from the dias today that other parties have betrayed the people by selling them dreams that could not be fulfilled. The BJP reneged on its promise of making appointing a CM from the Nishad, Kashyaps, and other backward communities. The present government would snatch whatever they had managed to gain as well, under the constitution of Dr. Ambedkar. The Kashyap community faithfully voted for the BJP but their rights and dignity had been snatched. He said that if there is injustice anywhere, the worst is in Uttar Pradesh under the BJP government. 

Yadav asked the farmers present whether their income had increased or reduced, despite the BJP's promise for doubling their income, and prices increased instead.

He said that the maximum custodial deaths were occuring in Utar Pradesh police custody. Yesterday, GoNews had reported on the alleged 'suicide' of Osaib Altaaf in the Kasganj  Police's custody in UP wherein we had mentioned the concerning rise of custodial deaths in UP in recent times.
