Akhilesh Yadav addresses a public rally to commemorate Constitution Day, and said that their pledge is that “we will not rest until the BJP is removed”. He said that the ‘Samajwadis’ (socialists) and the Ambedkarites will come together to save the Constitution. Prakash Ambedkar was also present at the rally.

Yadav said that because of the kind of people in power today, the future is uncertain and they might take any kind of decision in the future. He also took the occasion to remember Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar who gave the people a Constitution which promises equality for all. He said that we are proud of those who died and sacrificed for freedom and democracy in India, and that the Constitution is the soul of the democracy.

He said Lucknow is the very place from where the doors to power In Delhi (Centre) was opened, and the people of UP have decided that they want to close this door now. Therefore, he said that the upcoming elections in 2022 is not an ordinary election.

Taking a dig at the PM, Yadav said that at any time there might be a new address “in the name of the nation” and anything might get announced during that. He reminded th audience about the sudden invalidation of the rupee issued by the Indian government itself. Then, there was another address to the nation which “repealed” the three farm laws even though it is a parliamentary process.
