Even as the country opens up with further relaxations of the lockdown, COVID-19 cases are spiking each day. The first week of June saw 57,905 new cases with 1,537 deaths. The overall death toll in the country has now crossed 7,000. According to the Health Ministry, in the past 24 hours 9,983 new cases have been registered and 206 deaths.
