Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders, who were going to meet the family of the Hathras gangrape victim, have been taken into custody by the UP police. Earlier, the UP police stopped them on the Yamuna Expressway and said they are being held for violating the rules as Section 144 is enforces. On this, Congress leader Meem Afzal said the former Congress president was ready to go alone to meet the family but the Yogi Govt only knows how to crush dissent using sticks and is trying its utmost to suppress the horror perpetrated on the victim and her family.
