Mumbai Comes To A Standstill After Receiving Highest Rainfall Of This Monsoon

Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, has come to a standstill after experiencing the highest rainfall of this monsoon. All government and private establishments have been closed and flights, buses, and trains are not currently operational. Only emergency services are operational in Mumbai. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Mumbai received 273.6 mm of rain since Tuesday night. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Mumbai on Wednesday. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has appealed not to the people to not leave their houses without unless very urgent. Mumbai Police has also issued an advisory saying that people should not go through waterlogged paths
