The killing of 14 civilians in Nagaland at the hands of security forces of the 21 Assam Rifles (Special Forces) commanded by the Army has sparked outrage and controversy in the state. Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a statement in Lok Sabha saying that the killing were due to “mistaken identity”.
