On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 70 birthday, the Congress is observing ‘National Unemployment Day’ in a bid to corner the Central Government. Since midnight, #HappyBirthdayPMModi, #RashtriyaBerozgariDiwas and #NationalUnemploymentDay remained the top Twitter trends in India. Surprisingly, Twitterati registered their protest against rising unemployment and posted three times more tweets under #NationalUnemploymentDay than tweets using PM Modi birthday hashtag. By 4 pm on 17 September, there were a total of 4,12,000 tweets wishing PM Modi a birthday, while 14,50,000 tweets on #RashtriyaBerozgariDiwas and 7,49,000 tweets on #NationalEmploymentDay were posted
