The Rajya Sabha passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 amid loud protests by Opposition. The Session was chaired by Dy. Chairman Harivansh Narain Singh. The Rajya Sabha is now adjourned until 3.09 PM. While the BJP MPs of the house passed the Bill by voice vote, the opposition parties are demanding that there be a discussion on other issues related to farmers such as MSP, withdrawal of "fake cases" against farmers involved in the #farmersprotest, and on the deaths (or "martyrdom as it's being termed) of 700 farmers during the movement.
