A civil court in Araria district of Bihar has sent a 22-year-old rape survivor and two social workers (who were helping her) to jail on charges of obstructing court proceedings. In conversation with GoNews' Anjali Ojha, Ashish Ranjan, an activist from Jan Jagran Shakti Sangathan, said the rape survivor, who was mentally stressed, insisted on the presence of an accompanying activist while signing her statement under section 164. Following this, she, along with the two activists, were taken into custody for obstructing the judicial process.
