The farm laws have become a friction point between the BJP and its allies in the NDA. After RLP’s convener Hanuman Beniwal's warning to part ways, if prompt action is not taken on the farmers’ issue, pressure mounts on BJP’s Haryana ally Dushyant Chautala, who is part of Manohar Lal Khattar led Haryana government. Earlier, Shiromani Akali Dal, one of the BJP's oldest electoral allies, has also walked out from NDA at the end of September over the contentious agriculture laws.
