Congress President Sonia Gandhi says the party will pay the rail fare for migrants returning home and those stranded without money. Hitting out at the government for charging fares from the migrants to transport them, she pointed out that when stranded citizens were flown back home free of cost, it was disturbing that the railways were asking migrant workers to pay up. In a letter to Congress state units and workers, she instructed them to arrange payment for the fares. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala, while reading out the letter, said it is the duty of a responsible Opposition party to help out during this unprecedented crisis. Ajay Jha reports
