A special bench of the apex court is set to hear an urgent plea today against tree felling in Mumbai's Aarey Colony. There has been mass outrage and protest from Mumbaikars in Aarey after Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) started chopping of trees for the construction of Metro rail car-shed. Several celebrities have also lent support to the protest through their social media handles.
