The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has warmed up well, with the first last-over finish taking place on Monday between the two debutants Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), the only two teams yet to play in the present season, will face off today (March 29) in Match No. 5 at Pune's MCA International Stadium, Gahunje.

The Royals were one of the few teams to have created a full squad during the mega auction, since they acquired everything they needed, including strong backups for every position, from top-order batsmen to finishers to all-rounders and a mind-boggling pace attack.

The goal for Sanju Samson, the enthusiastic captain, will be to get the best out of the talented players he has at his fingertips.

The Sunrisers, on the other hand, have had a similar trend with their teams in recent years, with young Indian players in the middle order and fast bowlers. The biggest hurdle for them would be filling the shoes of David Warner and Rashid Khan for both Abhishek Sharma and Shreyas Gopal.

But one thing they did excellently at the auction was to secure strength middle-order batters in the form of Romario Shepherd, Sean Abbott, and Marco Jansen, who will fill the position of Jason Holder performed so well in recent years.

The match between SRH and RR will begin at 07.30 PM.

The match will be broadcasted on Star Sports and Disney+ Hotstar.
