According to news agency PTI, the administration requested clearance from Parliament on Monday to spend an additional Rs 1.07 lakh crore in the current fiscal year.

Approval is requested for gross additional spending of about Rs 1.58 lakh crore in the third batch of supplementary demands for grants filed in the Lok Sabha.

Proposals involving net cash outgo total over Rs 1.07 lakh crore, while gross new expenditure matched by ministry/department savings or increased collections totals over Rs 50,946 crore, according to PTI.
