In 'Mann Ki Baat' today, PM Modi Highlights India's $400 Billion Exports

In ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today, PM Narendra Modi said that India is taking massive steps towards its economic progress. He pointed to the $400 billion worth exports made by the country.

"New products from India being exported to new destinations, 'Made in India' products now more visible abroad. It signifies country's potential and capability," PM Modi said while addressing his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'.

In today’s Mann Ki Baat programme, he highlighted about the new products from India being exported to new destinations which were ‘Made In India’ products. He also applauded the farmers, youngsters, MSMEs.

The prime minister also said that the government has purchased goods through Government eMarketplace Portal (GeM) portal, with about 1.5 lakh small entrepreneurs selling their product directly to the government.

“Earlier, it was believed only big people could sell products to the Government but the Government eMarketplace Portal has changed this; it shows the spirit of a New India,” he added.

PM also mentioned about the recently concluded Padma awards where he was surprised to see Baba Sivananda’s vigour and fitness and urged the listeners to practice yoga and said that he also has a passion for the same.

Apart from this he talked about the 'Jal Mandir Yojana' and how it was a turning point in water conservation & in rejuvenating stepwells.

This was the first radio show of PM Narendra Modi after BJP won assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa.
