The total number of coronavirus cases detected hitherto across the country has reached 26,47,664. Out of these, 6,76,900 patients are active while about 51,000 patients have died.
Statistics from the Health Ministry show, 57,982 new patients were identified in the last 24 hours and 941 patients succumbed to the virus.
At the same time, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has released statistics pertaining to testing, so far more than 3 crore tests have been conducted across the country. In these, 7,31,697 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
