J&K Local Body Polls: Gupkar Alliance Sweeps 110 Seats, BJP Emerges As Single-Largest Party With 75 Seats

The District Development Council election results have been released in Jammu and Kashmir. In these results, the Gupkar alliance is ahead after sweeping 110 seats. At the same time, BJP has won 75 seats, including three in the valley. In this election, the Congress has won 26 seats while independent candidates have won 50. 

After the results, the BJP said that these elections show that Kashmir needs change. BJP has emerged as the largest party in J&K local body polls. At the same time, Farooq Abdullah said that the people of Kashmir have given an answer to the BJP through this election.

This is the first election after the removal of Article 370 from J&K.
