Twin suicide bombs ripped through crowds on Thursday at Kabul airport killing many people including 13 US troops. This has deepened the panic in the final days of the evacuation effort from the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.
The bombing has been claimed by the ISIS group and has left scenes of carnage outside the Kabul airport where thousands of Afghans were desperate to leave the country. Masses had gathered at the airport despite several warnings from foreign governments that a major terror attack was imminent.
US President Joe Biden said, “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
He said that the airlift won’t be derailed adding that all American troops just leave Afghanistan and the airlift would end by Tuesday, partly due to the threat of more IS attacks.
