Man With UK Travel History Suspected Of Carrying New Virus Strain, Under Supervision In Delhi

India has halted flights arriving from Britain until midnight on 31 December. Recently, 22 passengers returning from the UK have been found corona positive. Of these, 11 people have been found positive in Delhi, 8 in Amritsar, 2 in Kolkata, and 1 in Chennai.

A person found positive in Delhi is suspected to be carrying the new strain of COVID-19 found in Britain. The person is undergoing treatment at the Lok Nayak Hospital in Delhi.

During an interaction with a media channel, Dr. Suresh Kumar, director of the hospital, told that there is a patient who is suspected to be infected with the new strain of coronavirus. The results will come in 3-4 days. 

However, he said that the condition of the person is very good and he has no symptoms. He has been kept in isolation only because of his travel history.
