No Trace Of New COVID-19 Strain In India, Health Ministry Says Won't Affect Vaccine Development

Amid fears of the new COVID-19 strain in the UK, the Health Ministry said that so far no trace of the UK mutated virus has been found in India. At the same time, the Ministry has claimed that the developing coronavirus vaccine will also work on this new variant.

NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul said, 'Based on the data available so far, it can be said that there is nothing to panic, but we have to be cautious.'

Paul said that in view of the changing nature of the virus, there has been no change in the guidelines of Covid and this strain will not affect the vaccine being developed, especially in the country.
