The Tokyo Olympics organisers on Friday said that a tropical storm is likely to hit Tokyo on the last day of the olympics. The organisers have not announced any changes to the competition.
The closing ceremony of the Olympics is scheduled for Sunday while medal events including water polo and rhythmic gymnastics are schedules to take place at indoor venues during the day.
Japan’s weather agency had warned of strong winds, high waves and the risk of landslides and floods along the eastern coastline from Saturday afternoon to Sunday.
