Surat: Home Minister Amit Shah Inaugurates Various Sumul Dairy Projects

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous Sumul Dairy projects in Surat. Surat District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited (SUMUL) held a programme in Tapi as part of the Azadi Amrit Mahotsav (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav).

A total of one lakh individuals attended the event. According to Mansingh Patel, president of SUMUL Dairy, SUMUL has organised a first-of-its-kind initiative in Gujarat following the introduction of the new cooperative ministry.

Union Minister Amit Shah motivated the audience to strengthen cooperative efforts with his remarks. So that these people can advance economically. The Union Minister also urged farmers to switch to organic vegetable farming.

He believes that these vegetables should be packaged and sold right outside people's doors. Around 2 lakh members from Surat and Tapi districts contribute milk to Sumul Dairy through 1200 mandals, according to Sumul Dairy sources.

Along with Union Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, State BJP President CR Patil, and state cabinet officials attended the event.

This event's planning began twice before it took place. However, for a variety of reasons, it was cancelled. The event was originally scheduled for January 16th and then rescheduled for February 19th. Due to the Union Home Minister's hectic schedule, this was postponed.
