Trinamool’s 6 Rajya Sabha MPs Suspended For Today Due To “Disorderly” Conduct

Six Trinamool Congress MPs were told to leave the Rajya Sabha for the rest of the day over “grossly disorderly” conduct. They entered the well of the Rajya Sabha and showed placards while protesting over the Pegasus scandal.

The suspended MPs are Dola Sen, Nadimul Hague, Abir Ranjan Biswas, Shanta Chhetri, Arpita Ghosh and Mausam Noor. Venkaiah Naidu, who is the chairman of the Rajya Sabha asked the members to go back to their seats and then threatened to invoke rule 255 against the MPs holding the placards.

After the suspension order, Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien tweeted, “Two pm in Rajya Sabha. Today. Come watch the entire Opposition unite against Modi-Shah dictatorship.”
