The water level of River Ganga rose above the danger level in Patna. Heavy rainfall has led to several ghats being submerged under water.
On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a yellow alert predicting heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning in various parts of Bihar till August 4.
As per the IMD, the movement of a low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal towards the Eastern parts of the country was the cause of heavy rainfall.
