World leaders assembled ahead of the first plenary session of the G20 summit being conducted in Rome, Italy, for the customary ‘family photo’ of all countries’ representative leaders who are in attendance. This is the first such photo since 2019 after the 2020 session had to be conducted virtually owing to the COVID pandemic. Cameras caught President Joe Biden, who had arrived about an hour before the photo, speaking to his Turkish and South African counterparts.
After this photo session, the leaders will proceed for the first session of the day, ‘Global Economy and Global Health’. The schedule for the day is given below:
The G 20 summit in Rome is a culminating event to encapsulate the work done throughout the year under the presidency of the host, which is Italy this year. The summit will be held in the Nuvola Convention Center and The Media Centre in Palazzo dei Congressi.
