Abhay Chautala Resigns From Haryana Assembly Over Farm Laws, Pressure On Khattar Govt

The politics of Haryana has become more heated due to the farmers' parade and the violence that took place in Delhi on 26 January. Indian National Lok Dal leader, Abhay Singh Chautala, has resigned from the assembly, two weeks after announcing that he would quit if the agricultural laws are not withdrawn by January 26.

The move has mounted pressure on his nephew and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, whose Jananayak Janata Party (JJP) is a key ally of Manohar Lal Khattar government.

Indian National Lokdal MLA Abhay Singh Chautala drove a tractor to reach the Haryana Assembly and handed over his resignation letter to the Speaker.
