The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has promised free coronavirus vaccine, 19 lakh jobs among other things in its manifesto for the Bihar elections. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman released the saffron party’s manifesto and said the BJP believes in “fulfilling poll promises.”
“As soon as the COVID-19 vaccine will be available for production at a mass scale, every person in Bihar will get free vaccination. This is the first promise mentioned in our poll manifesto,” Sitharaman added. “Bihar’s growth will be an integral part of India’s growth,” she said, urging the general public to vote for the NDA chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar.
Interestingly, when the Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav promised 10 lakh jobs for youths in his manifesto, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar mocked him and asked from where will he pay their salaries.
