Budget 2022: FM Nirmala Sitharaman Announcement For Small Enterprises

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the fourth budget of the Modi 2.0 government today. The Economic Survey was released before the budget, in which it was said that the government has a GDP growth rate of 8-8.5 per cent in the 2022-23 financial year.

The government's planned capital expenditure for the current fiscal is estimated to be over Rs 5.5 lakh crore. The government will have to focus on building infrastructure and this number will be kept in mind for the next financial year as well.

ECLGS scheme extended and extended from March FY20 to March 2023. The move was along the expected lines and would help the banks to hedge their exposure and also help the MSME sector.

  • MSMEs like Udyami, E-Shram, NCS and Aseem Portal will be interconnected, their coverage will be increased.
  • They will now perform as a portal with live organic database providing G-C, BC and BB services such as credit facilitation, enhancing entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • A fund with mixed capital raised under co-investment model through NABARD to finance startups in agriculture and rural enterprises for agricultural produce value chain.
