Budget 2022: Nirmala Sitharaman FM's Digital Plan

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting the fourth budget of the Modi 2.0 government today. The Economic Survey was released before the budget, in which it was said that the government has a GDP growth rate of 8-8.5 per cent in the 2022-23 financial year.

The government's planned capital expenditure for the current fiscal is estimated to be over Rs 5.5 lakh crore. The government will have to focus on building infrastructure and this number will be kept in mind for the next financial year as well.

Budget 2022 Update:

  • Digital ecosystem will be launched for skilling and livelihood.
  • It aims to skill citizens through online training. API based skill credential, payment layers to find relevant jobs and opportunities
  • An open platform will be created for the national digital health ecosystem.
