At least14 people have been confirmed dead in the heavy and relentless rain that has been pouring down on Tamil Nadu since the past few days. The Chanai airport has suspended arriving flights until 6 PM though departures are ongoing. There is widespread waterlogging which has caused closure of 7 roads and 11 subway routes. However, the IMD says that the heavy rainfall will subside from tomorrow.

The Kosasthalaiyar River in Tiruvallur district crossed its highest recorded water level and was flowing at 100.46 m on 2 PM today
