COVID-19 Claims Over 1,00,000 Lives In India, 10% Of Global Deaths

Over 1,00,000 people have died due to COVID-19 in India, as per the government figures. Of these, 1,069 deaths have taken place in the last 24 hours. At the same time, India's caseload currently stands at 64 lakh 73 thousand 545. Of these, about 80,000 new cases have been detected in the last 24 hours.

If we look at the statistics, 10% of the total deaths in the world have occurred in India. On the other hand, if we talk about cases, India contributed 18.5 percent to the global tally.
