Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi lashed out at the Yogi govt and called it "morally corrupt" over news that the Hathras victim's family will go through a narco-test along with all those involved in the matter. In one of her tweets, she said, 'The victim did not get treatment, her complaint was not written on time, her body was burned forcibly, the family is in captivity, they are being pressurised - now they are being threatened that there will be a narco test. This behavior is not acceptable to the country. Stop threatening the victim's family.'

पीड़िता को इलाज नहीं मिला, समय पर शिकायत नहीं लिखी, शव को जबरदस्ती जलाया, परिवार कैद में है, उन्हें दबाया जा रहा है - अब उन्हें धमकी दी जा रही कि नार्को टेस्ट होगा।
ये व्यवहार देश को मँजूर नहीं।

Earlier, she also questioned the suspension of five policemen and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. 'What will happen if some pawns are suspended? On whose order was the victim of Hathras and her family was made to suffer? The phone records of Hathras DM, SP should be made public. The UP government has suspended four policemen, including Vikrant Veer, on the basis of the initial investigation by the SIT. The SIT says that besides these policemen, the victim's family and all those involved in the incident will be subjected to polygraph and narco tests for further investigation.
