The novel coronavirus cases have reached 24 lakh 61 thousand 191 nationwide. Out of these, 48 thousand 40 patients died. There are currently six lakh 61 thousand 595 patients active in the country.
The Ministry of Health has released figures showing that 64,553 new patients were identified and 1,007 died in the last 24 hours.
Figures released by the Indian Council of Medical Research or ICMR show that 8 lakh 48 thousand 728 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 2 crore 76 lakh 94 thousand 416 samples have been tested so far.
