Afghan Evacuation Flights Restart After ISIS Suicide Bombing In Kabul Airport

The last-ditch evacuation flights took off from Kabul airport on Friday, a day after twin suicide bombings on crowds trying to leave the Taliban controlled Afghanistan killed at least 72 people, including 12 US servicemen.

The attacks were targeted at the US forces but hit hardest on the mass of people who gathered at the airport to board a flight and leave Afghanistan, fearing life under the Taliban rule.

At least 72 people were killed as well as 13 American troops. After the attack, US President Joe Biden said, “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
