Delhi schools will reopen in a phased manner starting with classe 9-12 from September 1, followed by classes 6-8 from September 8.
The decision was cleared at a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that strict guidelines would be given to schools. He also added that online classes would also continue.
Schools in Delhi were shut last year in March ahead of the nationwide lockdown.
