The Supreme court expressed "serious reservations" on aspersions being cast on members of the committee set up by the court. CJI SA Bobde says the court intervened for the common interest of the people and that the panel was formed as the court is not an expert in the matter.
The top court issued a notice on a plea by Kisan Mahapanchayat to re-constitute the Supreme Court-appointed committee.
"We don’t appreciate casting aspersions on persons(Committee members) like this," remarked CJI SA Bobde.
"Committee is to hear everyone and give us a report, where is the question of bias in that? We want a resolution of the dispute," he added.
Meanwhile, the central government told the top court that 5000 tractors are going to enter Delhi and they will go all over the city.
