Former Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi has contracted COVID-19. He appealed to all the people who came in contact with him to go to quarantine and get themsleves tested. Gogoi said, "I have been tested COVID-19 positive yesterday. People who came in contact with me during last few days they should go for Covid test immediately."

According to media reports, the Tarun Gogoi's wife was also tested, but here report has come negative. 85-year-old Tarun Gogoi has been asked by doctors to be in home isolation.
