Former Australian Batsman And Commentator Dean Jones Dies Of Heart Attack At 59

Former Australian batsman and commentator Dean Jones died of a sudden heart attack at the age of 59. Dean Jones was one of the legendary batsmans of the Australian cricket team and a brilliant commentator. His entry into cricket was in 1984, during the West Indies tour. He scored 48 runs while being ill in his first match.

Dean Jones played 52 Tests in two years from 1984 to 1992 in which he scored 3,631 runs with the help of 11 centuries. His fiercest batting is said to have been seen in the 1986 Test match between India and Australia. 

In this match, he hit a tremendous 210 runs, which no other Australian player has scored in an Indian stadium till date. Jones played 164 ODI matches in which he scored 6,068 runs at an average of 44.61.
