Indian Army Hands Over Chinese Soldier Who Strayed Across LAC In Eastern Ladakh

Indian Army on Tuesday night handed over the Chinese soldier Corporal Wang Yo Long who strayed across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on Oct 18.

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) soldier was arrested in Chumar-Demchok area of ​​Eastern Ladakh and was handed over at the Chushul Moldo meeting point on Tuesday late night. 

The Chinese Army on Monday night requested India to return back its missing soldier. After which the Indian authorities, after completing all the formalities under the protocol, handed Wang back to China. 

The positive gesture comes at a time when the Indian and Chinese soldiers have been face to face since the first week of May.
