US State Secretary Mike Pompeo, Defence Chief Mark Esper To Visit India Next Week

India and the United States diplomat will hold their third 2+2 ministerial meeting in New Delhi next week, the US said on Tuesday.

Amid ongoing tensions along the Indo-China border, US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper announced on Tuesday that he will accompany US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to India visit next week. During this time, discussions will be held to strengthen the alliance of the two countries to face the strategic challenge of China.

Asper said in the Atlantic Council's address, “In this century, for us in the Indo-Pacific, of course, India will be our most productive partner.”
