No Proposal Under Consideration To Waive Farmer Loans: Centre

The government on Monday said that there is no proposal under consideration that would waive off the loans of farmers, including Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers.

Minister of State for Finance, Bhagwat Karad said that the Centre has not implement any farm loan waiver scheme since “Agriculture Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme (ADWDRS), 2008”

Mr Bhagwat Karad said, “There is no proposal under consideration of the Government of India to waive off the loans of farmers including Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes farmers in the country.”
