US President-elect Joe Biden received a Covid-19 vaccine live on television in a bid to boost Americans' confidence in the jabs. The televised inoculation is significant since the United States has a big chunk of the population that believes in vaccine conspiracy theories.

Biden got the Pfizer vaccine at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Biden is 78 years old, due to which he is in the high-risk category.

He said in one of his statements that he does not want to get vaccinated so soon but he will get the jab to boost the confidence of Americans. Joe Biden's wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has already received the Pfizer vaccine before him.

Biden told Americans "there's nothing to worry about" when they get vaccinated and that in the meantime they should keep wearing masks and "listen to the experts."

President Trump has not yet clarified when he will get vaccinated. The future Vice President of the US, Kamala Harris, and her husband are expected to take the vaccine next week.

The vaccine jab is currently being provided to the healthcare staff and politicians in the US.
