New Coronavirus Strain In UK Causes Worry, WHO Says Mutated Virus Less Lethal Than COVID

There has been panic around the world since the new strain of the coronavirus has been found in Britain. This is believed to be a mutation of the novel coronavirus which can be up to 70 percent more infectious.

The UK Ministry of Health has admitted there have been cases of infection with this mutated version of the virus. The statement from Britain said that the information about the virus has been given to the World Health Organization and UK scientists are doing detailed research on it.

However, the World Health Organization says that 'although this new version of the coronavirus is spreading faster than Covid, it is not more dangerous than that. Different mutations of the virus have also been found in Australia, Denmark, and the Netherlands.'

However, India and 39 other countries have suspended flights coming from and to Britain as a precautionary measure. In India, there will be a ban on flights coming from the UK from Tuesday midnight to 31 December.
