On March 21, 2022, the price of a litre of fuel in Delhi was Rs 95.41. This price has increased to Rs 105.41 per litre as of April 15, 2022. The same diesel cost Rs 87.67 a litre back then, and it costs Rs 96.67 currently.

In Mumbai, the price of petrol has risen to Rs 120.51 a litre, while the price of diesel has risen to Rs 104.77.

The actual reason for the rise in petrol and diesel prices is thought to be the fast rising crude oil costs on the worldwide market. At the same time, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is being cited as a major factor in the price hikes.
