A self-styled godman named Dharmendra Das aka Dharmendra Dubey has been arrested under rape charges in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
Three women filed rape cases against the 35-year-old accused while two minors have filed sexual harassment cases. The accused Dharmendra Dubey is currently in jail. The police had caught him with a kilo of weed last week. After her arrest, many women reached the police station and registered an FIR for rape.
Narsinghpur district is 240 km away from Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Dharmendra Dubey built an ashram and temple named Saket Dham five years ago here. Dharmendra used to claim that he has magical powers so that he can solve every problem of women. But when women go to Dharmendra with their problems, he would rape them and blackmail them as well.
According to the Narsinghpur police, Dharmendra's ashram was raided on 4 August. During this period, more than two kilograms of marijuana and several pen drives and CDs have been recovered.
