Sixth Corps Commander-Level Meeting Commences Between India And China Amid Border Row

Corps Commander-level talks are being held for the sixth time between India and China on Monday amid sustained tensions along the LAC. A Secretary-rank officer of the Ministry of External Affairs is also involved in the meeting taking place in Chushul / Moldo in Ladakh. Apart from these, Defence and Foreign Ministers of both countries have also met, which did not yield any results.

The Army Corps Commander level officers of both the two countries have met five times so far. Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane arrived in Srinagar and Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday amidst tension on the border. During the visit, he took stock of the security situation of the state and the operational preparedness of the security forces.
