Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi raised strong objections over the statement of former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath against a woman BJP leader. Gandhi in a press conference during his visit to Wayanad said, 'Kamal Nath ji is from my party but personally, I don't like the type of language that he used...I don't appreciate it, regardless of who he is. It is unfortunate.'
Former MP CM and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath gave an objectionable statement about BJP leader Imarti Devi. In his statement, he called Imarti Devi an 'item'. CM Shivraj also fasted for two hours over Kamal Nath's derogatory remarks.
However, after massive outrage, Kamal Nath didn't apologise but said he expresses regret if his comments have hurt anyone.
